These are gorgeous woofers, they are for sale. These are specially made samples
that were intended to replace the already very excellent woofers in my original
set of BEAR Labs Quadripole woofers (see the Speakers page). These are as new,
having done nothing much at all for a while, one of them was mounted and tested, the
other was never run except to verify parameters.
They are very similar to the DPL12 drivers shown on another page DPL 12 <--click to go!
However, they have a different cast basket (EV style), a different spyder, and they are
a single VC. These are 16 ohm units - I intended to run them in parallel, two per side for
an easy 8 ohm load. The cone, surround and magnet seem identical to the DPL12 from
Adire. They are similar in that way to the Shiva, although these will not handle the
power that the Shiva or DPL12 is designed for. However, these are likely more sensitive
than those two, so you'll get more output for less power. I do not have the exact T/S
specs handy - I recall them as being about Qt 0.35, Fs ~20Hz and VAS likely <200L
(maybe quite a bit less).

I tested them in a <5 cu ft box with a PR tuned to about 26Hz, and they cranked a whole
lot of bottom end with no problem. Definitely more sensitive than the DPL12 in 16 ohm mode
which is spec'd at 84dB, so these are "keepers."

Bottom line is that these will give you fine bass, they're on par or better than the Parts
Express Titanic, and share similar design to the Adire lines. Best part, I'm asking only
$65.00 each!! :- ) plus S&H via UPS.
